HTH heads to recording studio

HTH has been given the opportunity to get to the recording studio at FLCC late this month to record some clips for promo material and for the website. The site is currently being updated behind the scenes by John Kinane of Kinane Services so we wanted to get some new clips up as well. The sound of the band has changed over the years and with our new guitar player Kire we have added a new and different dimension to the band's sound. Check back in the first part of March to listen to our new clips and pass the word of the Funk, Soul, Rhythm and Roll that is The Half Ton Horns!!!

Eagle Scout Austin Boyd was recently killed in a car accident in Holley , NY. Austin was a very big part of many people's lives espcially the Boy Scouts of America. In Austin's passing, a Memorial Fund has been created in his name and will benfit the Boy Scout Council he so happily served. HTH and Mickey Finn's in Victor are providing people the opportunity to come down and support this great cause on December 5th, 2009 at Mickey Finn's Bar and Restaurant starting at 9pm. HTH will be playing from 9pm til midnight and would love to see many people out in support of this great cause, to have some fun and thank Mickey Finn's for providing this venue. Hope to see you there.

HTH's drummer Jared Streiff has been feverishly working on arranging some new great material for Half Ton. We have a variety of new stuff coming to you at our next gig and more still in the rehearsal studio. Check out our set list page on the site and look for the new tunes, or better yet, come on out to our next gig and hear for yourself!!!

HTH would like to congratulate Jimmy and Terry Steele on the birth of their baby girl Kailey Alexis. She was born Wednesday, September 24th weighing just over 8 lbs. Both baby and mom are doing well, and so is dad!! I think she is already playing Clark Studies!!

Anna McKinney is a 4 year old girl with Leukemia. Her father Jeff is the Athletic Director at Athena HS and MS in Greece. As many of us are fathers in HTH we felt that we could provide an opportunity for people donate to the McKinney and help offset some of their medical and living expensive during this challenging time. We have made arrangements with The Panorama for donation opportunities the night we are performing there, Saturday, October 4th at 10pm. Please come out and check out the band and help this little girl and her family. We hope to see you there.

Where have we been?

Lots of folks have been asking about where we've been this summer. Well, we've been busy with private gigs, and learning lots new tunes.
We're all eager to get out in public to play all our new stuff for you. Check us out at The Panorama on October 4th, and Mickey Finn's on December 20th.
